This recipe was featured in the cover of Bon Appetite (I think) sometime in the 1980's. It had 3 layers - eggplant, spinach and a carrot puree layer. I lost the recipe and would like it again. Anyone have it?

Pastry that is crisp (fried?) on the outside with honey inside, no nuts or external syrup. In Egypt I picked these up from my local grocery store, but I am not certain they were originally Egyptian... They came in many varieties with differant names, but seemed to be differentiated only by size and shape.

Years ago I had a recipe simply called "Greek Cookies". Each cookie was a small dough ball that you would press a thumbhole into. You would then fill the hole with some nut/honey mixture and close the hole. You then bake the cookies and roll the ball in confectioners sugar. I lost the recipe years ago.
